Artech Ultrasonic Systems AG has developed an innovative, unconventional solution with which the pourability of bulk solids can be specifically optimised. flowsonic is an energy−saving and low−noise alternative to mechanical and pneumatic solutions. Classical flowing problems such as bridging, ratholing and segregation can be prevented.
The bulk material to be discharged often consists of a mixture of different particles which differ in size, shape and density. In heterogeneous mixtures, demixing can occur during the production process, which in turn can influence the quality of the final product.
During the formation of bridges, the powder accumulates above the outlet and forms a stable arch. Bridging can, among other things, impair production capacity due to interruptions of Operation
For both flowing problems, the flow of bulk material is usually optimized again with pneumatic or electrical aids. However, in most cases, these discharging aids cause noise, damage to the bulk containers and thus influence the overall equipment effectiveness.
Increased Output | Continuous Product Flow | Less Interruptions in Produktion Process
Lower Cost of Operation | Increased Reliability | No Contact with Product
Quick and Easy Assembly |Retrofit Kits available | No Noise
The ultrasonic excitation minimizes the static and dynamic friction forces on the walls. Storage containers, as well as feeding and dosing systems are thus set into smooth vibrations, whereby the bulk material can flow continuously or on demand. As a precautionary measure, interruptions and quality reductions are minimized in this way.
By the implementation of the innovative solution of Artech Ultrasonic Systems, the overall equipment effectiveness is improved while the material stress and noise load is reduced to a minimum. Due to the intelligent excitation principle, the ultrasonic waves spread almost evenly on the entire surface of the system to be stimulated. The company’s patented frequency variation method ensures that different metallic geometries can be excited. Consequently, the components can be used on various bulk material handling units.
